Living With Trees will finally be published on 5th November by @LittleToller!
Drawing on the many ways that people around the UK are redefining their relationship with trees and woods in the twenty-first century – in healthcare, education, ecology, art, architecture, conservation, rewilding – this book demonstrates how caring for trees and woods enhances local biodiversity, community cohesion and well-being.
There is a lot of news about trees at the moment - how they can save us (or not), how they can be the wrong sort, how they get in the way of 'progress' - and in Living With Trees we look at the big picture and seek a balance between, for example, conservation and productive woods, native and exotic trees, planting and rewilding, forest cover and farming.
Over the next week I will be offering a few insights to the book to whet your appetite...
